Based on a popular Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa, the film also features Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of Puru Dynasty. The mythological drama film is produced by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju under the banner of Gunaa Teamworks and Dil Raju Productions respectively. On the work front, Samantha will be next seen in Shaakuntalam. She also congratulated him for a win on Jersey and said he was amazing in the movie.
